Self publishing services for the independent author
Forget traditional publishing and publishing houses...
You’ve probably noticed that self publishing has become very professional over the last few years. Some of the books currently being produced by independent authors are indistinguishable from those produced by publishing houses. What this has meant is that readers have come to expect this level of professionalism, whether they are reading a traditionally published author or a self-published author. If an author puts out a low quality publication, then they are unlikely to attract the attention of readers.
Independent authors (self-publishing authors) now need to be just as professional as their traditional publishing house counterparts. This means that, budget allowing, manuscripts should be properly formatted so they look good in both print and digital form, that they are edited and proofread by a trained pair of eyes and that book covers are created by a graphic designer. The DIY approach, unless you really are good at everything, is simply not the best way forward and is probably not the best use of your time. After all, all those hours you spend creating and tweaking a book cover are hours when you could be writing your next book.
This is where I can help. I am a writer myself and so know the entire self-publishing process, from writing a book right through to marketing. I know how books need to be formatted; I know how to quality control a manuscript because I am a trained proofreader; and I have an association with a highly experienced graphic designer for book covers designs.
So, if you are serious about your writing, get professional and get in touch to produce the best book you can and satisfy your future readers.
